Every year I notice that groups take to the water differently in the late summer: calmer than in July/August, but often with more eagerness to experience something active together. That’s precisely why sports days in September and October are especially suitable for schools, companies, youth groups, and associations that want to bring back some energy after summer.
Sports days in September give fresh energy
September is a new beginning for many teams and classes. A kayak trip on the Maas literally gets people moving, without it feeling like a classic sports activity. At Kajak Maasland, groups paddle through the Rivierpark Maasvallei, with routes of 13 km and, upon request, also 8 km.
For schools, sports days in September are ideal for letting students work together naturally. For companies, they provide a strong basis for teambuilding, especially when colleagues paddle, steer, and make decisions on the water together.
We are also open daily by reservation for small groups or pairs.
Kayaking in October with a late summer feeling
Kayaking in October is still perfectly possible, especially with the upcoming weather forecasts. The busy summer holiday period is behind us. That makes a trip more organized, pleasant, and relaxing.
Rafting is also suitable for groups of 6 to 12 people per raft. Kayaking can be done solo, in pairs, or in threes; canoes accommodate three to four people. This way, every group can choose a formula that suits their age, fitness, and group size. In October we are open only by reservation!
Practical and easy to organize
Kajak Maasland optionally provides bus transport from Kotem to Smeermaas between 10:00 and 13:00. Life jackets are included and drybags are available on site.
If you want to plan a sports day in September or October, don't wait too long. You can still reserve your kayak via the Kajak Maasland reservation platform or contact us at kajakmaasland@gmail.com.
